Winster is still a lovely place to stay, even in the middle of a grey and chilly weekend a week or two before Christmas. Winster has its Christmas tree up and ready to be switched on, which took place Sunday 9 December. Photos (apols for the fuzzy pictures) are from the top of the village across to Birchover and beyond. If you squint you can see the hills in the distance are covered in snow.
