Angel Cottage is nestled in the Peak District village of Winster, Derbyshire. The three bedroomed cottage is right at the heart of the ancient lead-mining village, lying opposite the National Trust’s medieval market hall, although set back from Main Street through a gated archway and cobbled courtyard.
It is thought to have been part of the original stables and grooms’ accommodation to the sixteenth century coaching inn, known as the old Angel, and has been used in all sorts of ways since. There is a good-sized rear courtyard garden that is safe for young children. Winster, around five miles from both Bakewell and Matlock, is a superb location for outdoor activities, but just as useful for a quiet holiday spent pottering about.
Angel Cottage has three bedrooms and sleeping accommodation for six. Bedroom one has a double bed, bedroom two has a single, with a further single bed available. Bedroom three has twin single beds. A travel cot is available. The bathroom has a large shower.
The sitting room has games, books, a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A high chair is available. Angel cottage has gas central heating, and a log burning stove.
